The year is 1862 and engineer Benjamin is constructing the clock tower of the new town hall in Berlin. One morning he no longer appears in his workshop. His mother Mathilde has no idea what could have happened and is alarmed. She can't find any clues to his whereabouts, but at the same time she may have the key to finding her son right in front of her...
